Regional HSES Lead - Saudi Arabia

About the Role

Allrig is seeking a committed and experienced Regional HSES Lead to report directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for driving strategic HSES compliance across the regional office and associated project sites. This role encompasses the development, implementation, and monitoring of the company’s Integrated Management Systems (IMS), in alignment with national HSES regulatory requirements. The position also involves close coordination with the Global HSES Lead to ensure consistency between global and regional HSES standards.

Proven capability to engage effectively with stakeholders across diverse cultural environments and maintain high standards of HSES excellence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HSES strategic compliance support to the regional office and project sites under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the company’s Integrated Management Systems (IMS), ensuring full compliance with National HSES regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global HSES Lead to ensure consistent application of IMS and regional HSES requirements.
  • Promote and drive a safety-first culture, emphasising safety leadership and visible commitment to safety at all levels.
  • Ensure high standards of HSES excellence, efficiency, and effectiveness while managing interactions with diverse cultures and protecting company confidentiality.
  • Interface with corporate offices and provide ongoing support to regional offices and site projects, ensuring effective HSES performance and compliance.
  • Travel to project sites as required, particularly during the initial phases of the project and throughout the project lifecycle, to ensure continuous HSES excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety Management, Engineering or a related field qualification.
  • Certified in HSE management, i.e., NEBOSH International or General Certificates, including any National HSE equivalent qualifications.
  • Company supports and encourages the individual to actively enrol and progress with an industry-recognised Safety and Health organisation or institute, i.e., Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), etc.
  • Lead Auditors qualifications in ISO 9001 Quality, 14001 Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety 45001.   

 

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in HSES management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of global HSES regulations, industry standards, and best practices, including expertise in Rope Access and Working at Height (WAH) procedures.
  • Proven experience in risk management, incident investigation (Tap Root, Topset), auditing, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural, cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in developing HSES programmes and supporting Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.
  • Skilled in HSES data analysis, benchmarking, and report writing, with exceptional conflict resolution abilities.
  • Knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability in the context of ESG.
  • Ability to travel internationally, regionally, and to offshore locations. BOSIET certification and offshore medical (preferably OGUK or equivalent) are required.
